Raima, which offers state-of-the-art database technologies, will be previewing the latest release of its RDM (Raima Database Manager ) as well as demonstrating real-time sensor data acquisition at this year’s Embedded World. The show, hosted in Nuremburg, Germany runs from February 25th to February 27th and Raima can be found co-exhibiting with National Instruments on stand number 426, Hall 4.
Raima and National Instruments have a strategic relationship in which the two companies work together to integrate Raima’s RDM Embedded technology directly into NI LabVIEW software. This provides seamless database access from within LabVIEW, eliminating external database connectivity and communication headaches during programming. It also simplifies export to systems for run-time operation.
The Raima Database API for LabVIEW enables users to program and test systems within a native LabVIEW interface, allowing users to program and test in LabVIEW under Windows, and then move the program to VxWorks or NI Linux Real-Time for operation.
The demonstration at Embedded World will show this in action, using the new Raima Database API in LabVIEW on the new NI cRIO-9068 system to store power quality measurements that adhere to industry standards. Paired with core measurements (temperature, sound, power level, and light intensity), this power quality analysis can be used to synchronize data and correlate the dynamic behavior of an entire system. This demo is targeting people who want to monitor the quality of power being provided to their devices and is useful in Industries that include power production, smart grid system development, wind turbine monitoring, and other industrial systems.
In addition Raima will be showcasing the latest release of RDM version 12.0, providing even greater options for developers who are facing the challenge of ever increasing volumes of information.
About Raima
Raima delivers high-performance, always on database technology for both in-memory database usage and persistent storage devices. Raima’s core focus is to develop database management solutions for everything from small, embedded devices up to enterprise level hardware systems.
The Raima Database Manager (RDM) products are cross-platform, small footprint, fast and reliable database solutions which are made to collect, store, manage and move data. They are used worldwide in a wide range of data management solutions in industries such as industrial automation systems, military flight control systems, telecom routers & switches, financial trading systems, medical equipment, data backup solutions, consumer electronic devices and more.
All products feature solid and reliable ACID compliant database technology and employ a number of advanced solutions to meet today’s complex data management challenges. Examples are moving data from small low-powered embedded devices up into larger enterprise systems, building highly-available database systems, database partitioning support to facilitate data distribution and scalability, and interfaces allowing access to the data from a range of external sources.
Raima Database Manager (RDM) products include options to meet a variety of data management architectural designs by providing a choice of data models and access methods to solve the most stringent performance requirements.
