Feature
In-memory Database
Raima’s In-memory Database (IMDB) architecture allows for significant performance gains and a reduction in processing requirements when compared to the On-disk-engine. The IMDB RaimaDB runs alongside the RaimaDB On-disk engine and databases can be opened with either one. The IMDB RaimaDB is designed to be very simple to use with there being no need for proprietary keywords in the database schema to utilize the IMDB instead of the on-disk engine. Instead, the developer simply sets an option prior to opening the database to configure and use the IMDB.

Extended Flash Media Lifetime
RaimaDB optimizes and minimizes the number of writes to the storage medium, prolonging the lifetime of the device. This means less maintenance is needed for the medium and less replacements over the lifetime of the application. Additionally, RaimaDB performs better on these devices due to the optimizations it has.
Reliability
Before the release of RaimaDB, many tests and methods have been developed to ensure a robust and usable product. This is due to the stability and robustness requirements for a database being much more stringent than many other types of applications.
