Raima, a premium provider of high performance database technology, today announced ImageScan will expand the use of its RDM Server Enterprise Lite Embedded database into additional applications, including TCM Unify. RDM Server is used to store images and manage payment processing transactions within the financial industry.

RDM Server has been implemented in ImageScan’s workflow management solution, RemitTrac, for process payment transactions for over 10 years. Providing consistently secure data management was noted as a key factor in expanding the use of the Raima’s database server to ImageScan’s other products. ImageScan also has plans to upgrade to Raima’s latest Version 8.4 release.
To effectively protect sensitive financial data, RDM Server has a versatile set of advanced options, such as allowing the user to encrypt their database with 128-bit AES encryption. The system catalog, which is where all user information is kept, is automatically encrypted. The user is also given the choice to encrypt network traffic between client applications and the server process using 128-bit AES. The login process also is securely achieved without sending any password information across the communications protocol.
